DPO Pay Namibia Transforms into Network International After Approval
Rebranding of Virtual Card Services Namibia
Virtual Card Services Namibia (Pty) Ltd., previously known as DPO Pay Namibia, has officially rebranded and is now operating under the name Network International. This change comes after obtaining necessary regulatory approvals and aligns the local entity with its parent company, a prominent fintech firm in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
Network International offers a wide range of payment products and services that enable local merchants and financial institutions to accept and process payments seamlessly. The company has built a strong reputation over the past thirty years by establishing long-term relationships with many of the country’s leading merchants, financial institutions, and payment partners.
In a significant development for the African payments sector, Network acquired 100% of DPO Group in 2021. This acquisition expanded Network\’s presence to 21 countries across the continent, making it one of the fastest-growing payment companies globally. It also reinforced Network\’s position as a leader in developing and implementing credit, debit, and smart card processing systems for all major card issuers in Southern Africa.
“DPO Pay is now Network, and we are excited about this move. For our merchants and customers, it means that they will not only continue to enjoy the same high-quality services, but we now have more resources to innovate and provide tailored solutions in the market. Our focus is to innovate and enhance safe and personalized payment experiences. This move positions us to do just that,” said Mpho Sadiki, Group Managing Director Merchant Services – Africa (excl. Egypt), Network International.
Namibia is the latest country to undergo this rebranding, following Kenya late last year. This strategic shift is expected to enhance access to QR codes, card payments, and mobile payment solutions.
Vision and Mission of Network International
Network International\’s vision is to empower merchants—whether they operate online or in physical stores—by providing a seamless and secure payment experience. The company offers a comprehensive range of payment solutions that allow businesses to accept payments effortlessly. This enables them to focus on growth while simplifying transactions for their customers.
From payment processing to reconciliation and reporting, Network supports merchants with end-to-end solutions that enhance efficiency, improve cash flow, and drive business success.
According to the United Nations Development Programme on Digital Financing for Sustainable Development 2023, Namibia\’s digital finance ecosystem has achieved 81% financial account ownership, with 77% holding accounts at financial institutions and 71% using digital payments. This highlights the potential for Network to leverage its existing services to further increase adoption.
Strategic Alignment with National Goals
The company’s investment also aligns with the Namibia Financial Sector Transformation Strategy (NFSTS) for 2024–2034. This strategy aims to foster collaboration within the industry to create a future-ready payments ecosystem that will advance the nation’s financial sector. By enabling easier access to digital payment solutions, Network is supporting The Bank of Namibia and the Payments Association of Namibia (PAN) in their efforts to promote interoperability.

- Expanded Reach: The rebranding follows similar moves in other African countries, such as Kenya, and is expected to boost access to various payment methods.
